MODULE 6 - USING MACROS AND CUSTOMIZING TOOLBARS WITH ACCESS

SYNOPSIS:
This course introduces students to macros. Tasks include creating and using macros. Students will also learn how to use switchboards and create custom toolbars.

PREREQUISITES:
Users familiar with the basics of Access who want to create and use macros, switchboards, and custom menus and toolbars.

THIS MODULE INCLUDES:

Creating Macros
Working with macros; creating, running, and saving a macro; opening the macro design window; assigning an argument to an action; using single step mode for testing; editing an existing macro; running a macro - Tools menu.

Using Macros
Using properties and the Command Button Wizard; assigning a macro to a control; creating a command button, a group macro, and an Autoexec macro; adding a condition to a macro.

Using Switchboards
Opening and using a switchboard, creating a switchboard form, adding a button to a switchboard, setting startup options

Creating Custom Toolbars Creating a custom toolbar, a custom menu item, and a shortcut menu; adding a built-in menu item, a command to a menu item, custom commands, a separator bar, and buttons to a toolbar; docking a floating toolbar; linking a shortcut menu and a toolbar to a report; changing a button image.
