SYNOPSIS:
This course introduces the skills necessary to utilize macros, and customize
toolbars and menus. It includes tasks to use, record, edit, and debug
macros. Students will also learn how to use the Personal Macro Workbook,
custom functions, and custom toolbars and buttons; create a macro button
and custom menus.
PREREQUISITES:
Excel users who want to learn about macros and customizing toolbars and
menus.

Using Macros
Defining and running macros; opening a macro workbook and the Visual Basic
editor; using a shortcut key.
Recording Macros
Recording a macro, assigning a shortcut key, using relative references,
assigning a macro to a menu, deleting a macro from a menu.
Editing Macros Editing a macro manually,
running a macro from the code window, inserting a macro line, copying
macro text between modules
Using the Personal Macro Workbook
Recording, editing, running, and deleting a personal macro; viewing
the personal macro workbook; hiding the personal macro workbook.
Debugging Macros
Stepping through a macro, setting a breakpoint, debugging a macro, entering
macro comments, correcting a statement error, using statement colour codes.
Using Custom Functions
Defining, creating, and using a custom function; inserting a macro module;
using the Paste Function button.
Using Custom Toolbars and Buttons
Creating, attaching, detaching, and deleting a custom toolbar; adding
a button to a toolbar; adding a custom button; assigning a macro to a
button; changing a button image.
Creating a Macro Button
Using, creating, copying, formatting, moving, sizing and deleting a macro
button.
Creating Custom Menus
Using custom menus, creating a menu, submenu, and menu command; testing
a menu; deleting a custom menu item.
