SYNOPSIS:
This course covers advanced Outlook components. The student will learn
how to work with folders, forms, and Outlook items; customize the information
viewer and Outlook bar; and set Outlook options. The student will also
learn how to use the Inbox Assistant and the Out of Office assistant.
PREREQUISITES:
Users who are familiar with Windows 200/XP and want to learn about customizing
Outlook.

THIS MODULE INCLUDES:
Working with Folders and Forms
Viewing properties, administration properties, and forms properties; setting
general, AutoArchive, permissions, and synchronization properties; archiving
a folder; accessing another user's folder; working with public folders;
creating a form.
Using the Inbox Assistant
Opening the Inbox Assistant; adding, editing, and deleting an Inbox Assistant
rule.
Using the Out of Office Assistant
Opening and disabling the Out of Office Assistant; creating an AutoReply
message; adding, editing, and deleting an Out of Office rule.
Working with Outlook Items
Importing data into Outlook folders, exporting Outlook data, categorizing
and finding Outlook items, creating items from existing items.
Customizing the Information Viewer
Adding and removing fields; sorting, grouping, and ungrouping items;
filtering and formatting a view; clearing a filter; defining custom views;
deleting views.
Customizing the Outlook Bar
Hiding the Outlook bar; changing icon size; creating a new group; renaming
and deleting a group; adding a storage device shortcut; adding, renaming,
and deleting a folder.
Setting Outlook Options
Opening the Options dialog box; setting general, e-mail, sending, reading,
calendar, tasks/notes, journal, reminders, spelling, AutoArchive, delegates,
manage forms, and security options.
