SYNOPSIS:
This course introduces the skills necessary for developing presentations.
It includes tasks to create, enhance, and print presentation slides; use
the Office Assistant and Outline view; and correct spelling errors. The
student will also learn how to create basic charts.
PREREQUISITES:
Users familiar with Windows 2000/XP who want to learn the basics of PowerPoint
2003.

THIS MODULE INCLUDES:
Exploring PowerPoint
Starting and exiting PowerPoint; creating a presentation; selecting an
AutoLayout; using windows and menu commands; displaying/hiding toolbars.
Using the Office Assistant
Using the Office Assistant, selecting and hiding the Assistant, changing
Assistant options, finding an answer.
Using Basic Presentation Skills
Creating, saving, closing, and opening a presentation; entering text;
adding and navigating slides; using the AutoContent Wizard; switching
views; renaming an existing file; using design and content templates.
Enhancing Presentation Text
Changing the font, font size, font style and effect, and text alignment;
adding/removing bullets; modifying paragraph spacing.
Using Outline View
Using, navigating, and adding slides; collapsing/expanding an outline;
demoting, promoting, and moving text lines; deleting and rearranging slides;
creating a summary slide.
Correcting Spelling Errors
Checking spelling as you type; hiding spelling errors; starting the
Spelling Checker; using Ignore/Ignore All, Change/Change All, and Replace/Replace
All; selecting AutoCorrect options; using AutoCorrect; creating and deleting
an AutoCorrect entry.
Creating Basic Charts
Using charts in slides, creating a chart, deleting and entering data in
a datasheet, closing the datasheet, changing the chart type.
Printing Presentations
Printing a presentation, slides, outlines, and selected slides; selecting
page setup options.
