MODULE 3 - CREATING EFFECTIVE POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS

SYNOPSIS:
This course covers working with the various editing tools to create effective presentations. It includes tasks such as customizing presentations, editing presentation masters, and adding special effects. Students will also learn how to expand a slide show, present to a wider audience, and use data from other sources.

PREREQUISITES:
Users familiar with the basics of PowerPoint who want to utilize the editing tools to create effective presentations.

THIS MODULE INCLUDES:

Customizing Presentations
Customizing presentations, a colour scheme, and the slide background; applying and using colour schemes; applying a colour scheme to all slides; saving and deleting a custom template.

Editing Presentation Masters
Working with the slide, title, notes, and handout masters; formatting the slide, title, notes, and handout masters; adding placeholder information to the slide, notes, and handout masters; printing handouts.

Adding Special Effects
Using special effects; selecting animation and slide transition effects; setting custom animation and slide transitions; rehearsing slide transition timings; setting up a slide show; hiding a slide.

Expanding a Slide Show
Creating a custom show, a hyperlink, and a summary slide; using a hyperlink, an action button, and the Slide Finder; jumping to another presentation; expanding a slide.

Presenting to a Wider Audience
Using Meeting Minder, the Pack and Go Wizard, the PowerPoint Viewer, and presentation conferencing.

Using Data From Other Sources
Importing text from Word; exporting an outline to Word; inserting picture files, sound clips, and video clips.
