SYNOPSIS:
This module covers how to use resources. Students will learn how to work with resources and calendars, adjust resources, and assign costs.

PREREQUISITES:
Introduction to Project 2003.

Working with Resources
Creating resources; Assigning resources to groups; Assigning a resource to a task; Assigning various resources to a task; Removing a resource assignment; Changing the task type; Contouring a work assignment.

Working with Calendars
Using Calendars; Changing resource working hours; Adding a non-working day for a resource; Creating a base calendar; Assigning a base calendar to resources and projects.

Adjusting Resources
Addressing resource over-allocation; Viewing resource usage; Resolving conflicts by increasing units; Leveling a resource; Specifying leveling timeframes; Setting leveling options; Leveling by entering a delay amount; Clearing leveling; Changing leveling to automatic; Setting task level priority.

Assigning Costs
Defining costs; Assigning standard and overtime rates; Assigning a cost per use to a resource; Assigning resource codes; Assigning a resource rate table; Assigning fixed resource costs; Assigning a fixed cost to a task; Selecting an accrual method; Creating a resource rate table; Viewing resource and task.
