MODULE 3 - WORKING WITH WINDOWS EXPLORER

SYNOPSIS:
This module concentrates on the benefits of file management in Windows XP and the Office XP applications. It features such aspects as My Documents and utilising Windows Explorer to the full.

PREREQUISITES: Existing Windows users.

OBJECTIVES:

l Using Windows Explorer
l Using Files/Folders & Shortcuts
l Working with Diskettes

DURATION:
Half Day

THIS MODULE INCLUDES:

Using the Windows Explorer
Viewing your computer; opening objects; creating a folder; copying, moving and deleting files and folders.

Using Files, Folders & Shortcuts
Creating, renaming, moving, and copying folders; sending folders to diskette; creating, renaming, moving, and copying files; sending files to diskette; creating and renaming shortcuts; deleting files; retrieving deleted objects; emptying the recycle bin; configuring the recycle bin.

Working with Diskettes
Formatting a diskette; setting a disk's label; copying files and folders to diskettes; backup.
