MODULE 8 - USING WORD GRAPHIC TOOLS

SYNOPSIS:
This course covers using graphic tools to enhance documents. Tasks include inserting graphic files, editing pictures, and drawing and manipulating objects. Students will also learn how to use WordArt, and other effects such as Microsoft Graph.

PREREQUISITES:
Users who know the basics of Word and want to increase their productivity using graphic tools.

THIS MODULE INCLUDES:

Inserting Graphic Files
Working with and linking graphic files, inserting from a file, inserting Clip Art, pasting and deleting a graphic.

Editing Pictures
Dragging to move, crop, and size pictures; using position, sizing, and cropping options; resetting a picture.

Drawing Part 1
Layering text and objects; stacking, grouping, and ungrouping objects; flipping, rotating, and aligning objects; sizing and positioning objects.

Drawing Part 2
Creating AutoShapes; drawing and formatting a text box; placing graphics into text boxes; creating and formatting a callout; making composite pictures; creating a watermark.

Using WordArt
Using WordArt; creating and resizing a WordArt object; modifying WordArt text.

Using Other Effects
Creating automatic graphics; adding borders, shading, shadow, a 3D effect, and a page border.

Using Microsoft Graph
Working with Microsoft Graph, creating and modifying a chart, adding a chart title, changing the chart type, creating charts from tables, copying data to a datasheet, importing Excel data.
